Zulah Lawrence Coleman, Age 100, of Denton, TX, died on July 30,2018 at Rambling Oaks Courtyard Skilled Nursing Facility in Highland Village, TX. Zulah was born September 15, 1917 in El Dorado, Union County, Arkansas.  She retired in the 1970's after working approximately 20 years for the U.S. Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) which later became in 1994 the Farm Service Agency.  She spent a lot of her time after her retirement working in her garden which gave her a great deal of enjoyment.

Zulah was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Kathleen Crawford Lawrence; her father, William Richard Lawrence; her brother Richard Crawford Lawrence; her sister Helen Lawrence Bolding; and her husband of 61years Louis Lendon Coleman. She is survived by sons: Louis Richard Coleman (Patricia) of Coalgate, OK; Dr. William Edward Coleman (Carol) of Liberty Hill, TX; Hugh Coleman of Lewisville, TX; and a daughter Zulynne Coleman Leverett (Howard) of Henderson, TX; along with grandchildren Kathleen Ann Coleman Eads (Wilbert) of Plano, TX; Richard Lynn Coleman of Coalgate, OK; Lynne Anne Coleman Morris (John) of Round Rock, TX; Brian Edward Coleman (Josephine) of Dallas, TX; Jeffery Lawrence Mabe (Aimee) of San Diego, CA; and Mathew Lee Mabe (Katie) of New York City, NY. and seven great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 10:00 A.M to 12:00 Noon on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Mulkey- Bowles- Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 North Locust St., Denton, TX. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M Friday, August 3, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery which is south of Denton, TX. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
