Willie Jewell "W.J." Littrell, age 72, of Denton, Texas was born on July 1, 1950 in Denton, TX to Jimmie D. Littrell, Sr. and Odessa Evelyn (Sweatman) Littrell. He passed away Thursday, July 21 ^st , 2022 surrounded by his family at home in Denton.  W.J. was a man of strong faith and believer in Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.  He was a member of the Denton Apostolic Fellowship Church.  He also worked for the City of Denton for 33 years, where he made many good friends.  His family and friends best knew him as a loving husband, PawPaw, father, uncle, and loving friend.

W.J. is survived by his wife, Donna Jean (McCann) Littrell of Denton; daughters Gwenith Givens (Michael) of Sulphur Springs, TX; Jonnie Thornton (Na'Im) of Celina, TX; Christopher Littlepage of Sulphur Springs, TX; Angel Walkingstick (Malik) of Sulphur Springs, TX; Rachel Peterson (Jason) of Indiana and sister-in-law Martha Littrell of Weatherford, TX.  Stepsisters Barbara, Louise and Katherine along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Patrick Phillips, MD and all the Trio Hospice staff for providing so much loving care and support.

Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 10am, at Denton Apostolic Fellowship Church, 2801 N. Bonnie Brae St., Denton.
