William "Bill" Thomason, 66, of Ponder, died Thursday December 8, 2005 at Denton Regional Medical Center after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
Mr. Thomason was born March 5, 1939 in Ponder, Texas to William and Minnie (Murner) Thomason. He was married to Carol Anderson on April 13, 1957 in Ardmore, OK. He was a rural carrier and supervisor for the U.S. Post Office in Arlington for thirty-five years and a member of the Park Row Church of Christ, Arlington.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 10, 2005 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home. Rev. Kim Broadstreet and Chester Cullum will officiate the service. Interment will follow at 3:30 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday December 9 at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Thomason of Ponder; son and daughter-in-law, Bret and Elaine Thomason and granddaughter, Samantha Thomason of Arlington; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Paul Nunn of Ponder and grandchildren, Jamie and Cole Nunn of Ponder. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Patti Kim Thomason, two sisters, Mary Bradley and Ona Kareem, of Arlington, and a brother, George Thomason, of Gainesville.
Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
