William Morgan Smith of Krum, Texas was born in Denton, Texas on May 17,1963, to James Cecil Smith and Mary Juanita (Sewell) Hopkins. He passed from this life to be with the Lord on March 21, 2024.

Morgan was a Rural Mail Carrier at the Denton, Texas post office, where he met his wife, Jan Smith. They were married on the back dock of the post office on December 30, 2012.

Morgan was preceded in death by his father James Cecil Smith. He is survived by his wife Jan; his mother, Mary J. Hopkins of Krum, Texas; his sister, Star and David Nelson of Krum, Texas and his brother, James Smith of Sanger, Texas. He is also survived by his three children; daughter Britnie and Jason Chandler of Pilot Point, Texas; daughter Whitnie Hardin of Gainesville, Texas; son James and Christine Smith of Valley View, Texas; and eight grandchildren. He is also survived by his nephew John and Sami Clay of League City, Texas; Courtney and Nathan Kniatt of Krum, Texas; and niece Ashley Farguson of Krum, Texas.

Morgan's large personality touched everyone he met and will be Greatly missed by all who loved him. Memorial Services are set for Friday, April 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home located at 705 N. Locust St., Denton, TX 76201.
