Bill was born November 12, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN to William Charles and Thelma Louise Day Rodert. He married Shelia Vawter August 20, 1976 in Tom Green, CO.  He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war.

A graveside service will be held, 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 15, 2009 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.  The family will receive friends from 11:30-12:00 Noon, prior to departing for the cemetery.
