William "Bill" Arthur Morehouse, age 90, of Denton TX, formally of Glens Falls, NY. Born in Sodom, NY. Passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017 of natural causes.

Born March 29, 1927 in Sodom, NY, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Steves) Morehouse.

On March 15, 1952, Bill was united in marriage to Julia Louise Bennett. Together, they had the privilege of venturing on cruises throughout their marriage, sharing a lifetime of precious memories, which will be cherished by their sons.

During Bill's life he enjoyed many activities such as photography, hunting, bowling, golf, boating, and camping. Many of these activities were shared with his wife and children. Bill was also an avid home computer geek.

Besides his parents, several aunts and uncles, Bill was predeceased by his sister Eleanor Morehouse Orleman.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 65 years, Julia "Judy"; son, Bruce William and his wife, Deborah of Belle Vernon, PA; son Andy Lee of Shady Shores, TX; granddaughter Brandy Kristine Morehouse Wayne, and her husband Mark, and their two daughters Oliva and Ava from Dallas, TX; and surviving sister Ruth Morehouse Poyner of Benton City, WA.

Bill graduated Warrensburg, NY High School in 1944. He immediately attended Princeton University through early 1945 on an Army ROTC scholarship. In April 1945, he entered active duty with the US Army infantry during the end of WWII. After WWII, Bill deployed to Korea as part of the occupational forces. While in Korea, Bill used his interest in engineering and math to assist doing electronic repairs at the base radio station. Bill was discharged from the Army in December, 1946. Shortly upon entering civilian life, Bill began working for Western Electric as a telephony technician. In 1950 Bill began repairing televisions in Glens Falls, NY. While doing one of those repairs, Bill met Judy at the Bennett residence. In 1957, Bill began working for the Federal Aviation Administration where he eventually managed installation and repair of ground based communication and navigation equipment out of Warren County Airport in Queensbury, NY. In 1973 Bill transferred with the FAA to the Air Traffic Control Center in Leesburg, VA to begin a new phase of his career as a Computer Technician. After retiring from the FAA in 1982, he worked as an Electronics Calibration Supervisor for Espey Manufacturing & Electronics in Saratoga Springs, NY. He retired for a second and final time in 1992.

In 2012, Bill and Judy moved to the Denton, TX area where they lived with their son Andy until late 2014. And then, to Willow Bend Assisted Living and Memory Care.

A memorial service was held at Willow Bend Assisted Living and Memory Care, 2125 Brinker Rd, Denton, TX 76208 at 2 pm on Saturday July 8, 2017.
