William L. (Bill) Allen of Denton, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in Denton. Bill (Gladus Joseph LeBlanc, Jr.) was born to Gladus Joseph LeBlanc and Leonora Jackson LeBlanc on December 2, 1934 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Bill was adopted by F. L. (Tex) Allen after he married Leonora in 1939.
Bill married Carol L. Kraina on April 20,1957. They were happily married for 64 years until her death on May 12, 2021. Bill is survived by a daughter, Linda Bozeman and husband Hugh of Corinth, TX, a son, Greg Allen and wife Marla of Flower Mound, TX, 11 grandchildren, Zach Kelsey and wife Audrey of Corinth, TX, Blake Kelsey and wife Kelli of Trophy Club, TX, Kevin Bozeman and wife Gena of Vancouver, WA, Brian Bozeman of Corinth, TX, Clayre Turner and husband Daniel of Plano, TX, Amy Allen of Dallas, TX, Joel Allen of Culver City, CA, Lyla Allen, Morgan Lyons, Reed Lyons, and Reece Lyons, all of Flower Mound, TX, 11 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, as well as a brother, A.J. LeBlanc and wife Myra of Houston, TX, sister, Maude LeBlanc and husband George Martinez of Houston, TX, sister–in-law Joan White of Racine, WI, and several nieces and nephews. Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Carol Allen, his parents, F. L. (Tex) Allen and Leonora Allen, his father, Gladus Joseph LeBlanc and stepmother Evelyn LeBlanc, his father-in-law Lawrence Kraina and mother-in-law Frances Kraina, his brother-in-law Jack White, and his precious great-granddaughter Caroline Kelsey.
Bill was a faithful, devout Christian and a member of Eastside church of Christ in Denton, TX for 53 years, where he served faithfully as an Elder for many years. Bill's faith was evident in the way he lived every detail of his life, including his career, having served in Sales and Management for Moore Business Forms until his first retirement. He worked as a Real Estate Appraiser with Gage and Associates of Denton, TX until late in 2023 at the age of 88. Bill was a veteran of the Armed Forces, having served in the United States Army. He was well-known and respected in the community of Denton and beyond. Bill was a private pilot, and a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association. He loved flying with friends and family to the annual AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI. Bill was an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys.
His greatest delight was his family, and he was constantly supportive and encouraging not only of his children Linda and Greg, but of their spouses, his grandchildren, and great grandchildren. All of them knew well how proud he was of them and their various interests and activities. He will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy lives on through his family and all those he wisely counseled and helped along the way. His was a life well lived.
