William George Kelly, 94, of Corinth, TX, died Monday, May 2, 2016 at his home.
He was born on January 24, 1922 in Chicago, IL to Thomas Patrick and Alice Rose (Tobin) Kelly. He was married to Robertine Rita Schafer on December 29, 1944 in Oxnard, CA; she passed away on February 26, 2013. Bill graduated from Kelly High School in Chicago, IL. He served as a pilot in the United States Navy during WWII. He worked for many years as a salesman and accounts manager for several large freight companies. Bill was a devoted family man, whose standards were high and whose life was filled with humor and fun.
He is survived by his children, Dennis Kelly, Maureen Little (Eldon), Kitty Kelly, Robbie Bong (Charlie), Tricia Kelly, Bill Kelly (Adrienne), Dan Kelly, and Anne Silveus (Jim). He is also survived by sisters, Mary McMahon (late Ed), Rosemary Sobol (late John), as well as 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, a great-great- grandchild to be born in July, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter, Ellen Mary Kelly; siblings, Betty Murphy (late Dick), Alice Martineau (late Dick), Rita Hogan (Don), Tom Kelly, George Kelly (late Lauretta), Jack Kelly (Peggy).
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton.
