Dr. William W. Cudd III, 66, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2016.
As a young man, he achieved a brown belt in Judo ranking 5th at Jr. Nationals with his brother Frank, he also played in a band, the Stardusters. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force pursuing a degree in music. While serving in Shreveport he met his beautiful sweetheart, Dorothy Layfield Cudd. As an accomplished musician, he continued to play music throughout his life and shared this love of music with all of his grandchildren. On sunny days, he loved to chase a little white ball around the golf course eventually becoming a scratch golfer. But more than anything, he loved to spend time with his precious grandchildren, especially at the farm. Nothing made him smile more than his grandchildren.
He served faithfully in his church volunteering in many positions such as seminary teacher, addiction recovery instructor, bishop, missionary, temple worker and patriarch. His burning testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was evident in everything he did and in every life he touched.
