On Monday May 4, 2020, the Rev. William "Bill" Boutwell, 87, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was born December 6, 1932, in Ryan, Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of over 63 years, Iona Mae Boutwell, and their five children; Paul and wife, Derlly, daughter Carol Senters and husband John, daughter LaDonna Carter and husband Clyde, daughter LuAnn Velasco and Richard and wife, Katrina, 20 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Bill is also survived by his brother Fred Boutwell, and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Evabelle Boutwell and by his siblings, Dorthy Boutwell, Alvin Lee Boutwell, Kenneth Boutwell, Faye Boutwell, Mary Curtis, and Ruth Camp.

As a young man, Bill joined the Air Force, and served with honor during the Korean War. Upon completing his service to his country, he became an ordained minister through the International Pentecostal Holiness church. Bill had a passion and calling for spreading the gospel, and led many to know his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. For over 50 years Bill enjoyed preaching and ministering to those who were sick or in need. He loved his parishioners and was always eager to help them. Bill was an active member of the Ministerial Alliance where he enjoyed coming together with other leaders to pray and help the members of his community. Bill leaves a rich legacy of service, commitment, and sacrifice.

A graveside ceremony will take place on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 1:00pm at the Hillside Cemetery in Purcell, Oklahoma.

A celebration of His life will take place later in the year in Denton, Texas.
