William O. Bishop, 84, of Sanger passed away Monday, November 18, 2013 in Sanger . He was born February 21, 1929 in Haskell, Texas to J.W. and Mary Bishop. He married Rita Dempsey on May 16, 1949 in Sanger, Texas. W.O. was retired from Moores Business Forms in Denton. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged August 17, 1951.
He is survived by daughter, Ellen Long and husband Calvin of Ponder; sons, Rick Bishop of Sanger, Chuck Bishop and wife Susan of Sanger; sister, Mildred Gilbreath of Denton; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles and Shirley Dempsey of Krum and Howard and Joan Mackey of Gainesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Bishop; three brothers, Merle Bishop, Bill Bishop and Grady Bishop and two sisters, Dee Lawson and Jessie Denning.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Denton from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow at Sanger Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Bishop, Billy Pryor, Josh Yoakum, Lee Chaffin, Brendan Bishop Brian Pryor.
