William Lee Bingham, Jr., age 81, of Lewisville, passed away Sunday evening at the Medical Center of Lewisville. William was born in Barry, Texas on November 16, 1924 to William Lee Bingham, Sr. and Lucy Ruth Bingham. William was an active member of the Lewisville Church of Christ; loved working at the local Home Depot; and a World War II veteran serving in General Patton's 3rd Army as a Sgt. Major of a field Artillery battalion; fought at the Battle of the Bulge and received three bronze service stars. William retired from Moore's Business Forms where he worked as a Sales Rep. William is survived by two niece's; Jan Gilbreath of Arlington, Virginia and Kay Akins and her husband, Howard of Houston, Texas and great nephew; Halen Akins also of Houston, Texas, as well as many friends.William was laid to rest Monday afternoon in Laurel Land Memorial Park, August 21, 2006 per his wishes to be buried with in 24 hours of his death.
