William Jarrett (Bill) Hickingbottom, 89, of Denton, died Friday, September 16, 2005 at the Lake Village Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lewisville. He ws born March 11, 1916 in Marvel1, Arkansas son of John C. and Allie Mae (Jarrett) Hickingbottom. He was a graduate of Marvell High School. He founded and operated Den-Tex A/C. A retired member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a Member of Madison Lodge No. 126, A. F. & A.M. in Orange, TX, and the Stanfield Lodge #217 in Denton 32nd degree Mason, and Shriner. He was married to Dorothy Nell Mayfield, in Denton, on February 14, 1954, she died April 17, 2001. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, September 19, 2005 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with Rev. Rodney McClung, and Dr. Charlotte Nabors, officiating. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Mr. Hickingbottom is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Janice Freeman, of Denton,
Daughter-in-law, Carla Hickingbottom, of Marble Falls, Grandson's William Todd and Richard Kent Hickingbottom, and granddaughter, Allison Michelle Freeman. A brother M. L. Hickingbottom, of Little Rock Ark. and sisters, Mrs. Marietta Moore, of Memphis, Tenn. and Mrs. Mildred Williams, of Frisco.
