Wilda Jene Smith, 88, of Denton, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.
Mrs. Smith was born on December 18, 1929 in Drop, TX to Boyd Fuller, Sr. and Lottie Wilma (Malone) Fuller. She was married to James R. Smith on June 29, 1947 in Ponder, TX; he died on November 11, 2008. She was retired from Victor Equipment.
She is survived by daughters, Judy Venable of Sanger, Rita Jean Daniel of Denton; son, Ken Smith and his wife Glenda of Valley View; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents, Boyd Fuller, Sr. and Lottie Wilma (Malone) Fuller; son, Danny Smith; sisters, Opal, Ruby and Beulah; brother, Boyd Fuller, Jr.; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A visitation will be held from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM Sunday, July 29, 2018 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Monday, July 30, 2018 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jef Venable, Heath Boswell, J.W. Boswell, Charles Hamilton, Justice Anderson, Dandy Cronce.
