Wayne 'Bull' Pearson, 67, of Valley View, died Tuesday October 3, 2006 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.

He was born September 17, 1939 in Denton, TX to Oscar and Elsie Mae (Hampton) Pearson. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was married to Kathy Jan Hargrove on November 21, 1990 in Cook Home Place. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. He worked for the Texas Department of Transportation until he retired in 2001.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Friday October 6, 2006 at the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church on Hwy 3002, Valley View. Rev. Lou Ackery and Rev. Don Mitchell, will officiate the service. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Burns City.

Visitation will be from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday October 5, 2006 at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX 76201. Memorials may me made to the Methodist Children's Home, 1111 Herring Ave., Waco, TX, 76708.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy Pearson of Valley View; daughters, Teresa Cartwright of Denton, Tammy Pearson of Denton; stepchildren, Randy Hargrove of Sanger, Christy Avery of Denison; Three grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Cockrell of Sanger, Ruby Kerner of Denton: numerous nieces, nephews, lots of friends who loved and will remember him always as 'Bull'. He was preceded in death by brothers, Newt, Vernon (Jug), Monroe (Red), and Darrell Wayne, and sister, Dorothy.
