Obituary
Warren Edwin Watson, Ph.D., of Northlake, died Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.
Dr. Watson was born on April 15, 1947 in Gilmer, TX to Warren Orear and Thelma Orlice (Moughon) Watson. He was a Regent Professor in the Department of Management at the University of North Texas where he taught for 30 years, and Director of the Group for Organizational Effectiveness (GOE), a UNT consulting operation.
Warren earned a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and development from the University of Oklahoma, Masters Degrees in Counseling and Public Relations from East Texas State University, and a Bachelor's Degree in International Political Science and Economics from Texas Tech University. He had published and presented over fifty applied research articles in national and international journals and professional conferences.
He was married to Freda (Eubanks) on August 17, 2012 in Southlake, TX.
Warren is survived by his wife, Freda Watson of Northlake and numerous family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, July 12, 2014 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton.
In lieu of flowers, Freda has requested donations be made to the Humane Society of North Texas, www.hsnt.org (817) 332-4768.
