Wanda Lea Stanley, 76 of Denton, passed away on October 15. 2015 at Ft. Worth Greater Hospice. She was born October 24, 1938 in Fort Worth, TX to Ben James and Loyce Evelyn (Hampton) Thurman. She was a graduate of Denton High School in 1955, a member of the Denton Baptist Temple. She was retired from the Denton State School. She was married to Jackie Wayne Stanley on May 15, 1956 in Decatur, TX; he died May 15, 2015.
Mrs. Stanley is survived by daughter Angela D. Leathers and husband Richard of Bonham, TX, son David L. Stanley and wife Sondra of Aubrey, TX, sister Joy Chumney of Hamilton, Tx, and brother Ben Thurman of Gainesille, TX Six grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. when a funeral service will be held in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton with Richard Leathers, officiating. Burial will follow in the Bourland Cemetery in Keller, TX.
