Wanda Merlene (Brandenburg) Blagg passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025 in Gainesville, TX.

Mrs. Blagg was born on February 18, 1938 in Guthrie, OK to Merle and Wanda (Mirus) Brandenburg. She was married to Richard Eugene Blagg on February 18, 1983 in Denton; he died on February 11, 2009. She worked in sewing factories and was a cook for Aubrey ISD. She loved to crochet, travel and visit garage sales. Family get-togethers were precious to her; especially visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Wanda is survived by her three children, Phillip Cagle and his partner Diana Ward, Diane Johnson and her spouse Mark, Sue Fortenberry and her spouse Blake; seven grandchildren, Tommy Cagle and his spouse Tracie, Jennifer Garrison and her spouse Josh, Chris Johnson, Tiffany Simpson and her spouse John, Ethan Fortenberry and his spouse Sarah, Bain Fortenberry and his spouse Kirsten, Aubrey Fortenberry and his spouse Kristy; fourteen great-grandchildren; partner, Floyd Blagg; brother, Raymond Brandenburg; sister, Nancy Coulson; Richard Blagg, Jr. and his spouse and their two children; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, October 2, 2025 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM until service time.
