Walter J. Finn, age 86, of Grapevine, Texas, passed away Friday, December 4, 2009, at his residence.
He was born October 30, 1923 in Charles City, Iowa to Walter A. Finn and Hazel M. Wade Finn. Walter married Bernice E. on February 16, 1951 in Washington D.C. She preceded him in death on December 3, 2001. Walter retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of dedicated service. He served during World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the Auditors Association and a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association.
Walter is survived by his two sons, Michael A. Finn of Grapevine and David James Finn of Spring, Texas; two grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A graveside service with full military honors was held 12:30 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home of Lewisville was in charge of arrangements.
