W. J. "Corky" Hubbard, 76, of Denton, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.  He was born October 2, 1931 in Decatur,  to  Charles Thomas and Bess (Woods) Hubbard.  He was married to Bobbie McCool on May 6, 1950 in Decatur.  He was a retired Machinist for Victor Equipment Co.  He is a member of the Gateway United Baptist Church.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 in the Gateway United Baptist Church Chapel, 2401 NB. Bell Ave., Denton,  with Rev. Buddy Owens, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park.  The family will be at the Church  on Monday, September 15. 2008 for visitation from 6:30 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements

Mr. Hubbard is survived by his wife Bobbie Hubbard, of Denton, two daughters, Connie Hubbard, of Denton, and Beverly Boyd, of St. Petersburg, FL  two sons,  Joe Hubbard and Billy Hubbard, of Denton, and a sister, Peggy Reeves, of Decatur.  He is also survived by Eight Grandchildren, and Seven Great Grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a son, Terry Hubbard.
