Virginia Ellen Steele, 73, of Decatur, died Thursday, February 18, 2021 at The Windsor House in Denton.

Mrs. Steele was born on September 8, 1947 in Pittsburg, TX to Robbie Morris and Rosalind Vernell (Miller) Bartley. She was married to Glen Albert Steele on January 8, 2001 in Rockwall, TX.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Glen Steele of Decatur; sons, Shawn Wilkinson and wife Summer of Ponder, Bryan Wilkinson of Flower Mound; daughter, Jessica Nicole Steele of Cincinnati, OH; sisters, Roberta Hudgins of Denton, Rebecca Rodgers of Denton; brothers, Kenneth Bartley and wife Monica of Midlothian, David Bartley of Denton; grandchildren, Sterling and Sawyer Wilkinson, Cole Wilkinson, Chance Sautter, and Jaden, Ashton, Kylie, and Jolie Steele; 5 nephews and 2 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law George Sweeney Hudgins.

A memorial service will be held February 27, 2021 at 11am at Denton County Cowboy Church, Ponder.
