Virginia Taylor " Memama"  Fletcher,  92 of Denton, TX  went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday August  11, 2017.  She was born on May 10, 1925 in Proctor, OK.  to Theodore Otto Taylor and Annie Belle (Harlan) Taylor.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Fern LaVerl "Papa" Fletcher.  Virginia had six brothers and three sisters.  Virginia enjoyed reading her Bible, crocheting and spending time with her family.  Virginia worked as a telephone operator at GTE for 24 years.
Virginia is survived by her children;  Wayne Fletcher of Denton, TX.  Marsha Taylor of Denton, TX. and Daniel Fletcher and wife Clarice of Rockwall, TX.  grandchildren;  Clarissa Rowell and husband Brandon of Rowlett, TX.  Raebecca Powell and husband Jeremy of Mansfield, TX.  Austin Taylor and wife Juanita of Denton, TX.  four great-grandchildren; Shade and Atlas Powell of Mansfield, TX.  Danielle and Ashlin Rowell of Rowlett, TX.  Brother Joel Taylor of Valparaiso, IN.  sisters;  Bonnie Taylor and Annabelle O'Dell of Springfield, MO.
Visitation with family will be Sunday August 13 ^th from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at Mulkey–Bowles–Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX.  Graveside service will be Monday August 14 ^th at 2pm at the Tahlequah City Cemetery in Tahlequah, OK.
