Virginia Louise Westcott McClellan, 80, of Denton, (sweet, precious Mom and Grandma) died peacefully on Wednesday April 20, 2011 at Denton Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. McClellan was born on August 9, 1930 in Orlando, Florida to Dr. William Emerson and Mary Louise (Moore) Westcott. She was married for 36 years to James E. "Jed" McClellan. Being a registered nurse was her life's passion, and she devotedly cared for and cheered others until retiring just 5 years ago. Her kindness and laughter will live on in the lives of everyone she touched.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 28th, 2011 at Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Dr., Denton, TX.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda Garrett of Denton, Carol Mantle and husband Bryan of Krum; son, James Paul McClellan of Arvada, CO; brother, William Emerson Westcott, Jr. of North Carolina; grandchildren, Justin McClellan, Stacey McClellan, Miranda Garrett, David Mantle, Daphne Mantle, and Fiona Mantle; and numerous other beloved family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jed McClellan and her brother, Gerald Westcott.
