Virgil David James, 82, born June 25, 1931 to Virgle Carl James and Mae Viola Massey in Krum, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 in Denton.


Mr. James proudly served his country, as a Sargent in the US ARMY, during the Korean War. He was a very family oriented man, who enjoyed being with his, grandchildren and great-grandson.


Preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; John, Paul and Luke James, two sisters; Naomi Hillierd and Clota Gray and granddaughter, Skye D'Anne Eaton, Virgil is survived by his daughter, Darla Eaton and husband, Wayne; grandchildren; Joshua David, Holly Renee', Zachary Taylor and Jessica Aimee' Eaton, great-grandson; Camden Carl Lewis Brickey, brothers; Nathan James, Joseph Ray James and wife, Laurine, Ruben James and wife, Pauline and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.


Pallbearers: David Lee James , Jared West, Jason West, Wayne Eaton, Zachary Eaton and Joshua Eaton;

Honorary Pallbearers: Steven Mark James, and Kerry Neal James


Visitation will be Wednesday, August 21, 2013, 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Denton Funeral Home, 120 S Carroll Blvd., Denton, Texas 76201.


Graveside services, with Military Honors, will be Thursday, August 22, 2013, 10:00 AM at Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Drive, Denton, Texas 76207.Officiating Pastor Jimmy McLeod.


Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home.
