Virgie Valentine Byler, age 82, of Lewisville, passed away Friday, January 11, 2008, in Lewisville.

She was born February 14, 1925 in Lunsford, Arkansas to Isaac V. Smith and Dora Emma Lee Smith. Virgie married E.D. "Eddie" Byler who preceded her in death on

June 28, 1970. She was a member of Northview Baptist Church in Lewisville.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharron Pearson and husband, John of Lewisville;

son, Dwayne Byler and wife, Jacque of Bakersfield, California; four grandchildren, Michele and Heather Pearson and Zach and Travis Byler; three great grandchildren,

Rylan Pearson and Logan and Ollin Byler; two sisters, Shelby Curtis and husband, Charles and Shirley Kuykendall and husband, Scotty; brother, Woodrow Easter and wife,

Wanda Lee and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and loving friends.

Funeral service was held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2008, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Interment followed at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. Reverend Kenneth Wells officiated the service. The family requests memorial contributions made to the Northview Baptist Church building fund or the Alzheimer's Association.
