Viola Eggleston Brookshier, 81, of Denton, died Monday, April 16, 2007 at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
Mrs. Brookshier was born March 24, 1926 in Denton, TX to Arthur and Belvia (Pugh) Eggleston. She was married to Robert Andrew Brookshier on August 2, 1946 in Dallas, TX. She was a resident of Denton County all of her life. She was a member of the Gateway United Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Thursday April 19, 2007 at Towne North Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery, Aubrey, TX. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday April 18 at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dwayne Carroll, Brandon Weaver, Todd McNabb, Donnie McNabb, Wes Eggleston, and Billy Eggleston. Honorary pallbearers will be Ricky Weaver, Johnny Laird and Leslie Tribble.
Survivors include her daughters, Margaret Weaver of Aubrey, Mary Sue "Sam" Dane of Aubrey; sisters, Margie Garrett of Denton, Juanita Irick of Aubrey; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Curtis Robert "Bobby" Brookshier, and a granddaughter, Rachel Renae Weaver.
