Veta Fae Jones Massey, age 85, of Lewisville, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008, in Lewisville.

She was born February 16, 1922 in Denton County to Raymond A. and Bessie Mae McCommas Jones. She was a graduate of Lewisville High School. Veta married J.F. "Pete" Massey on June 29, 1940 in Farmers Branch. She was a member of Northview Baptist Church in Lewisville and worked formerly for Butterick Pattern Company and Texas Instruments.

She is survived by her husband, J.F. "Pete" Massey; son, James Michael Massey and wife, Barbara of Palestine, Texas; daughter, Barbara Jean Massey Danyeur and husband, Terry of Winnsboro, Texas;

6 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one niece, one nephew and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Vertie Mae Cole.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2008, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Interment will follow in Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. The family will receive friends

5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
