Vernon was born to Clarence Devine and Muriel Coffman Devine on January 28, 1953, and went home to Jesus on July 12, 2021 at the age of 68.

Vernon married Brenda Sproles on January 20, 1970 in Justin, TX.

Vernon loved to fish, hunt, metal detect, and dig for gold! But most of all he loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Brenda Devine of Justin, TX, his son Michael Devine and wife Julie of East Bernard, TX; his daughter Kristy Davis of Konawa, OK; His grandchildren Emily and Sarah Devine of East Bernard, TX; Brooke Davis, Raven Davis, Lillie Devine, and Kimberly Soar of Konawa, OK; two great grandchildren Hadley Tanyan of East Bernard, TX and Atreus Lindsey of OK; 2 brothers Tommy Devine and wife Jane of Azle, TX; Troy Devine of Justin, TX; and one sister Sue Goodman of Boyd, TX.

He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Muriel Devine and two great grand babies, Amayah Rose Devine and Lylah Ivory Ann Lindsey.
