Venita M. Seaborn, 94, of Ponder, passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2010 at Denton Regional Medical Center. She was born November 8, 1915 in McKinney, Texas to David Elmore and Laura Agnes (Spurgin) Funderburgh. She was a graduate of Ponder High School and attended Business College. She was married to Price Lee Seaborn on November 30, 1939, and he died October 12, 1981. She joined the Ponder United Methodist Church on March 10, 1929, and served on all church committees and served as a Sunday School Teacher .She was a member of the City Park Board, Lady's VIP, and worked with the Volunteer Fire Department, and Auxiliary. She had written a History of each organization. She will be long remembered for her food, cakes and pies.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, August 4, ,2010 in the Ponder United Methodist Church with Rev. Rocky Ellison, officiating. Burial will follow in the Eakin Cemetery at Ponder. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 for visitation from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M..

A niece, Doris Mayo of Bonham, and nephews Michael Christy of Irving, and Osburn W. Davis of Denison Seven Great Nieces and Nephews and Seven Great Nieces and Nephews.
