Vena Mae Taylor, 87, of Denton passed away peacefully on September 28, 2018 in Denton. Vena was born in Ector, TX on December 30, 1930 the daughter of John Eli Withers and Bessie Mae Vena Roland Withers.  Vena is survived by her husband Alton George Taylor; daughter Gail Quackenbush and her husband Harvey of Avondale Arizona; son David Taylor and his wife Renee of Jefferson City, Mo; two brothers, Bobby Eugene Withers of Lubbock and Paul Elmer Withers of North Carolina; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday October 2, 2018 at First Baptist Church Denton, 1100 Malone Street, with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. A visitation will take place on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton.
