Velta Mae (Stevens) Moore, 91 of Lake Dallas passed away on July 5, 2024, in Denton, Texas. During her life she loved to have family and friends over for fish fries and BBQ's. She enjoyed partying and dancing and was always up for a game of cards, dominoes, poker or wahoo. She also enjoyed playing croquet, volleyball and horseshoes until the wee hours of the night.
She loved being outside. She had a green thumb and grew beautiful roses and a bountiful vegetable garden. She would rather be outside fishing, boating/water skiing, camping and swimming. She was adamant about teaching her children to swim even though she did not know how to swim.
She was a lifelong crocheter. All her children and grandchildren received beautiful baby blankets, afgans, scarves, hats, towel and potholder sets for Christmas, birthdays or any special occasion
