Valerie Sue Garrison Hutsell, 61, passed away on January 11, 2015 in Dallas, Texas. Valerie was born on April 19, 1953 in Kansas City. Memorial Service will be held in Kansas City, Mo at Country Club Christian Church on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 3:00 pm. Interment will be held at a later date at the same location in the Columbarium Garden. She attended Southwest High School in Kansas City and was a National Honor recipient. She was a graduate of the Research Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Children's Mercy Hospital as a Neonatal Intensive Care R. N. and later as a pediatric nurse. Valerie was a dedicated University of Kansas basketball fan. She is preceded in death by her father and mother, Dr. Roy Francis Garrison and Barbara Sue Ummel Garrison. Valerie is survived by her husband, Randy Hutsell; daughter, Kelly Anne Hutsell Ferguson (Garrett); son, Erich Randall Hutsell; brothers, Roy Gregory Garrison, and David Keith Garrison; sister, Robyn Garrison Vince (Mitchell); granddaughter, Palmer Anne Ferguson; and her two dogs, Oscar and Vada.
