Urby Nowlin, age 84, of Highland Village, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at Regency Hospital of North Dallas in Carrollton.

He was born April 18, 1922 in Lewisville to Fred and Lena Robertson Nowlin. He served in both the United States Navy and the Marine Corps during World War II. Urby married Janet Nowlin on May 2, 1943 in Lewisville. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lewisville. He was a member of the Lewisville Masonic Lodge #201 where he was Past Grand Master, he was past District Deputy Grand Master and he was also a Shriner. Urby retired as a farmer and also a rural mail carrier.

He is survived by his wife, Janet and by his son, Craig Nowlin of Highland Village.

Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church in Lewisville. Dr. Thomas J. Baughman will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. The family request memorial contributions to be made to First Presbyterian Church, 1002 Fox Ave., Lewisville, Texas 75057.
