Obituary
Truman Merrill Daugherty, 79, of Denton, died on Sunday, February 19, 2012 in Denton.
Mr. Daugherty was born on September 7, 1932 in Navo to Jacob Edward and Mary Ersula (Pogue) Daugherty. He was married to Serena Ann Whitlock on November 2, 1956 in Denton. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He worked for the Denton County Sherriff's Office for many years.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday February 22, 2012 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. Interment will follow at Green Valley Cemetery. Rev. Ronnie Allen will officiate the service.
Mr. Daugherty is survived by his wife, Serena Ann Daugherty of Denton; daughter, Karen Bates and her husband Bobby of Aubrey; son, Steven Daugherty and his wife Lori of Plano; brother, Thomas Daugherty and his wife Carolyn of Denton; four grandchildren, Meagan Daugherty, Austin Daugherty, Sheena Parrilla, Josh Bates.
