Travis Ray Welborn, 54, of Denton, TX  passed away  Friday, September 12, 2008 at Denton Regional Hospital.  He was born January 3, 1954 in Lubbock to Travis Emery and Willie Marie (Ginn) Welborn.  He is a retired Butcher, and served in the U. S. Army. He was married to Carol Cage in April, 1977 in Fort Worth.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on  Monday, September 15, 2008 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home,  705 N. Locust, Denton, with Chaplain Jeff "Sidecar" Claes Officiating.    Burial will follow in the  Prairie Mound Cemetery at Argyle.  The family will be at the funeral home, on Sunday, September 14,2008 from 5P.M. until  7 P.M. for visitation.

Mr. Welborn is survived by two daughters, Angela Cage, of the Woodlands, Samantha Carol Welborn, of Frost,   and  two sons,  Travis Lee Welborn , of Stuttgart, Germany and Christopher Ray Welborn, of Mertens. His mother Willie Marie Welborn, of Blooming Grove,  Grandmother Marie Holdren, of Blooming Grove,  three  sisters, Sue Oden, and Debra Melin, both of Frost, Sharon Stanley, of Conyers, GA  and two brothers, Roy Welborn, of Frost, and Larry Welborn, of Ponder,  and One grandchild, Jayden.  He was preceded in death by  his wife  Carol, son Chad Welborn, and his father.
