Tom Dave Overton Jr. passed away peacefully on November 18th, 2021 with family near his side in Denton, TX.

Tom was born in Anderson County, TX on May 19th, 1934, the son of Tom Dave Overton Sr. and Mattie Lee Herrington.

Tom graduated from Palestine High School.  He became a well-loved schoolteacher, coach, and finally earned a Ph.D. in Psychology from Syracuse University.  He retired as the Director of Counseling at the University of North Texas.

Tom is survived by his two sons Thomas Overton of Plano, TX and David Overton of Alvarado, TX and grandchildren Lora L. Overton and Rebekah Overton.
