Obituary

Thomas Earl Trueblood Sr., 74, passed quietly away February 11, 2007 leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. He grew up in North Carolina with a funny accent and with 10 brothers and sisters and hundreds of cousins. He served his four year stint in the Air Force learning his 37 year trade testing air plane engines with Aviall and Ryder. He spent 52 years married to Mary Ruth White. But his best and most satisfying accomplishment came from his children, Tommy, Shauna and Sharla and the grandchildren he couldn't say no to, Trey, Callie and Cole. He thought he was wrong once, but wasn't. And we're going to remember him laughing at that joke about bats and chunking the deuces goodbye because he loved us – and that's the best legacy of all.

Graveside services will be Thursday, February 15 at 2 pm at Old Alton cemetery by Bruce Larson, Pastor of FBC Corinth. You can wear red. Visitation is at Mulkey Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust in Denton on Wednesday, February 14 from 7 pm to 8:30pm.

He was born March 10, 1932 in Durants Neck, NC to William Alonzo Trueblood and Thelma Lucille Hurdle. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ruth White Trueblood of Denton, 3 children, Thomas Earl Trueblood Jr, Shauna Lynn Trueblood and Sharla M. Trueblood all of Denton, 3 sisters, Sallie Monds and Betty Casey of Virginia Beach, VA and Hazel Byrum of Tyner, NC.
