Thomas (Tony) Thompson II of Denton, Texas, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014. He was born on January 31, 1936, in Childress, Texas, to Tommy and Lillian Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Mike Thompson. Tony was raised in Childress and attended Abilene Christian College. He married Tommie Bray of Midland. Together they raised 3 children. Tony enjoyed family fishing trips, camping, and summer vacations in Red River, NM. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and he was grateful to have lived to see them all become wonderful young adults. He remained a cheering fan on the sideline until the end. Tony leaves behind; Tommie Thompson, two daughters, Tina Grahl and husband David; Traci Thompson; and son Tony Thompson and wife Karen. 'Peeps' is also survived by seven grandchildren: Jesse Grahl (Mari), Steven Grahl (Megan); Casey Futch (Alisa), Kristen Futch; Hannah Thompson, Leah Thompson, and Sarah Thompson; along with six great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Mulkey Mason Funeral Home in Denton. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Atrium Medical Center who showed tireless care and compassion for Tony and his family during his final days.
