Thomas Lee Scott, 81, of Tyler, formerly of Denton, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at his home. He was born September 28, 1932 in Denton to William Lee Thomas Scott and Ola Mae (West) Scott. He was self-employed most of his life. He served in the U S Navy. He was married to Lena Ivy on August 22, 1988 in Double Oak. He attended Denton public schools.
Mr. Scott is survived by his wife, Lena Scott of Tyler, daughter; Sondra Dee Stanley of Denton, step-daughter; Stacey Davis of Lewisville, TX; sons; Tommy Eugene Scott and Danny Lee Scott, both of Aubrey, Johnny Joe Scott of Wichita Falls, and step-son; Christopher Chaffin of Mineola; sisters, Bonnie Latham of Gainesville, and Mary Lou Dean of Denton; brother, William Lee Scott of Denton; fourteen grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2014 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Mike Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park.
