Thomas Paul Cowan age 49, went to be with his Lord on Thursday March 5, 2009 in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he lived for more than 20 years. He was formally from Denton.

Tom was born January 28, 1960 in Austin, Texas to Paul and Martha (Stowell) Cowan.

Tom had a love for the Colorado Mountains and for music. In fact, the titles of most of his music used the names of mountains in Colorado that were over 14,000 feet.

He was employed by the Dominoes Corporation.

Tom is survived by his parents, Paul and Martha Cowan of Denton. Sisters Shirley Williams of Bartonville, Texas, Beverly Baker of Wichita Falls, Texas Linda Muse of Guayaquil, Ecuador and Jana Nelms of Katy, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday March 13, 2009 at Gateway United Baptist Church in Denton. The Rev. Buddy Owens and Rev. Robert Richardson will be officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Denton. Visitation will be 7 to 8 pm Thursday March 12, 2009 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Denton.

In lieu of flowers, tributes may be made to Music Ministry at Fellowship Bible church, 5580 N. Nevada Ave. Colorado Springs, Colorado where Tom served on the Praise and Worship Team.
