Thomas Dayton Chapman, 79, of Krum, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at his home in Krum.

Thomas was born on February 12, 1942 in Amarillo, TX to Robert Earl and Frances (Dayton) Chapman. He was married to Carol Lea Cofer on August 30, 1962 in Krum. After 58 years of marriage, he was preceded in death by Carol on June 3, 2015. He served in the United States Army Reserve, attended college at the University of North Texas, and held a long, successful career as a Top Salesman for more than forty years until his retirement from Moore Business Forms, when he was finally able to concentrate on spending more quality time with his family and loved ones...and golfing of course.

Thomas is survived by his daughters, Tonya Chapman of Krum; Erica Cooley (Brett Johnson) of Krum; son, Robert Chapman (Anthony Dimarco) of Krum; grandchildren, Madison Paige Cooley, Evan Wesley Cooley, Ethan Thomas Cooley, Logan Lee Johnson.

Tom / Tommy / Dad / Papa was loved and cherished by all who knew him. His light-hearted, kind, and loving personality was one of a kind and will live on in the memories of those who knew him. He loved his friends and family dearly, and would do anything for them. In recent years, he took the most pleasure in spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. Deep in our hearts he'll always stay; Loved and missed everyday.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, August 23, 2021 at the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton. Interment will follow at Jackson Cemetery in Krum. Finally, there will be a luncheon held at Krum Church of Christ, 319 N. 3rd St., Krum, immediately following the graveside service for all who wish to attend.
