Al 'Huss' Hussey, born July 24, 1958, departed this life October 29, 2008, after a 17 month battle with cancer. Al was born in Cocoa Beach, Florida, where he lived a 'storybook' life on the river and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the great outdoors, finding peace and solace in the woods. Al also had a great love for his motorcycle, often sneaking out for a quick ride during his weakest days. Al was a 17 year employee of Henkels and McCoy, where he worked as an area manager/estimator. Al was a member of Singing Oaks Church of Christ, having been baptized in May 2005. Al is survived by wife Valerie, son Ryan of Oklahoma City, Ok, daughter Tyler of the home, parents Ted and Emogene Hussey of Mississippi, brother Tilton Hussey of Magnolia, Tx, and sister Debbie Shannon of Ocala, Fl. He was preceded in death by a younger brother, Timmy Hussey. A special thanks to Dr. Qasim, Dr. Rana, and Robbie at Denton Oncology Center where Al was treated. Robbie was a special friend throughout his treatment. A memorial service will be held at Singing Oaks Church of Christ, 101 Cardinal Lane Denton, Tx 76209, on November 10th at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ryan Raider High School Band, 5105 E. Mckinney Denton, Tx 76208.
