Thelma Beatrice Weaver, 99, of Aubrey, TX passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the Pilot Point Care Center. She was born September 11, 1914 in Pilot Point to George Franklin and Annie Elizabeth (Mulkey) Godi. She was married to Ellis Eli "Hugh" Weaver on November 30, 1929 in Altus, Oklahoma and he passed away on November 1, 1989. She worked as a Houseparent for the Denton State School. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by three daughters; Georgia Looper of Aubrey, Vivian Vincent and husband Bob of Denison, Jo Ann Higginbotham and husband Doug of Waco; daughter-in-law, Nell W. Patton of Wills Point; son-in-law and wife, Bob Briscoe and Maye of Pilot Point; fifteen grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; thirty-one great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; sons, William Hugh Weaver, Alvin Franklin Weaver; daughters, Christine W. Briscoe, Mary Anna Weaver (at birth); granddaughter, Laura Lee Weaver; two great granddaughters, Rachael Weaver and Kristal Gale Weaver; daughter-in-law, Bulah Weaver; son-in-law, Doyce Looper, and her parents.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2014 in the First Baptist Church of Krugerville with Rev. Sam Redfearn officiating. Burial will follow in the Belew Cemetery in Aubrey. The family wishes to extend grateful recognition to all, the friends, and the staff and care givers of the Pilot Point Care Center for all of their prayers, love and support during this time.
