Terry Dean Stepken, age 76, passed away at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Denton, Texas after a brief stay. He was born in Pampa, Texas to Albert Henry (Bus) and May Belle Stepken. He was a big brother to Michael Wayne by 7 years.
Terry graduated from Sunset High School in Dallas, Texas. He then went on to earn a degree in accounting from The University of North Texas. Terry met and married Jane Hurley and they were blessed with one daughter, Deanna Lynn. On November 21, 1964 he and Patricia Ann Sturges were married. Together they had Shelby Wayne and Jennifer Melanie.
Terry was a business owner for most of his time in Denton; City Cig Service, Stepken Vending and best of all .. Tee-Off Putting Course. In 1985 he got a job with TISCO selling tractor supplies and moved to Salem, Oregon. He loved being able to travel from Southern Oregon all the way up to Canada. After retiring Terry enjoyed working part-time for H&R Block and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Terry is survived by his brother Mike, three children; Deanna, Shelby and Jennifer, three grandchildren; Maygen, Dawson and Ashlyn, and three great grandchildren; Jacob, Allison and Cameron.
A memorial service will be Sunday, May 28, 2017 at 11:00AM at Denton Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation will follow.
