Teressa Delane Martin Morris
March 29, 1964 – April 20, 2023
Terri Morris left this earth peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on April 20, 2023. Terri was 59 years old, living in Argyle, Texas with her husband, Alan. Terri and Alan married on May 24, 1986 at the First United Methodist Church in Denton, Texas. Their life together was a love story like no other. They adored each other and Alan was always by her side in sickness and in health.
Terri was fierce. She loved passionately and she lived passionately. She was a loyal wife, fearless mother, and a wonderful Tutu. Terri was born March 29, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois on Easter Sunday. She grew up in Denton and graduated from the University of North Texas (formerly known as North Texas State University). Terri spent most of her career in pharmaceutical sales in the North Texas area, mentoring, training, and promoting various pharmaceuticals to the medical industry.
She is survived by her beloved husband Alan and their daughter Mallie Morris Cunningham, with her husband Zach and their daughter Elliott Joy; also, her mother Rita Martin; her sister Shari Melton and husband Robert; mother-in-law Doris Morris; sister-in-law Julie Moore and her husband J.R.; father-in-law Ronnie Morris and wife Debbie; and niece Robin Miller and her husband Chris. She is also survived by a network of life-long friends.
Terri will be dearly missed and remembered for living life with generosity and kindness. She was gifted with the ease of making friends and loved to be spontaneous and have fun; vacationing, beachcombing, scuba diving and watching sports. She loved good music (especially Stevie Nicks and Coldplay) and fine dining! She loved running with friends and being pampered on spa days. She loved Alan and Mallie most of all, and together they not only survived life's many challenges, but lived every moment to the fullest. Our hearts are filled with sadness, but we find comfort that she is no longer suffering and is with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
A visitation will be held Sunday, April 23 from 4-6pm and a celebration of life on Monday, April 24 at 10am. Both will be held at The Well Church in Argyle, TX. Private burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park, Denton, Texas.
The family wishes to express special thanks to Faith Presbyterian Hospice and the exceptional care of Rhonda Taylor-Blair and Michele Clark-Kendro for their loving dedication and tenderness in caring for Terri throughout her last weeks.
In lieu of flowers, those who desire may send a memorial donation to the American Cancer Society in memory of Terri Morris at https://donate.cancer.org or to a charity of your choice.
