Ted Nile Carnes, PHD PE   63 of Denton, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2009.  He was born September 5, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri to Bill M. and Mary (Whaley) Carnes.  He was married to Jan Harris on December 27, 1967 in Oklahoma City, OK  He was employed as a Mechanical Engineer with  the PMK Consulting Engineers.

A funeral service will be held at  2 P.M. Friday, April 10,2009 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Howard K. Pelton, officiating.  .

Mr. Carnes is survived by his wife Jan Carnes, of Denton, two daughters, Kevin Christine Carnes, of Grapevine, and Whitney Lynn Carnes, of Denton, and  two sons, Brian Carnes, of Seattle, Washington, and Christopher W. Carnes, of Denton,  a brother Ned William Carnes, of Dallas, and one grandchild, Patrick William Carnes.
