IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Taryn Melissa
McGuire
February 23, 1985 – January 20, 2026
Taryn Melissa McGuire was born on February 23, 1985, in Denver, Colorado, to Harry Leo McGuire Jr. and Gwendolyn Charlyne McGuire. Taryn’s journey took her from Atlanta to Kansas and everywhere in between with Denver being where she spent most of her formative years. Each place she lived helped shape the woman she became, adding to her strength, compassion, and resilience.
From an early age, Taryn discovered her passion for running, quickly emerging as a remarkable athlete in track and field at Eaglecrest High School. It was there that she truly thrived, earning many accomplishments, including becoming one of the fastest high school girls in the state and competing in the Junior Olympics. Her determination and competitive spirit not only set her apart as an athlete but also laid the foundation for a mindset that led to many successes throughout her life. The discipline and resilience she developed through track and field shaped her character and influenced the way she faced challenges, molding her into the remarkable person we all admired.
Taryn carried that discipline and resilience she learned from track into every endeavor, whether serving her God, Jehovah, or building and running the successful business she created from the ground up. She inspired those around her to pursue their goals with the same passion and dedication. Above all, the most important anchor in Taryn’s life was her unwavering faith in Jehovah and her trust in His ability to strengthen and comfort her during her greatest trials. She held firmly to the hope Jehovah provides and was devoted to serving Him in a way that was pleasing to Him. Her love for Jehovah was deeply encouraging, and every battle she overcame with His help made us love and value her even more.
Taryn was a cherished mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and best friend. She is survived by her beloved mother, Gwendolyn Charlyne McGuire; her two beautiful children, Kareem “Champ” Dumbuya and Skylar-Rose Charisma McGuire; and her four siblings, Jasin McGuire, Trevor McGuire, Jahnea McGuire, and Harry Leo McGuire III. She also leaves behind a large and loving circle of family and friends who will always cherish her memory. Among those especially close to her Aunt Joyce, her sister-cousin Shaleese and her dear friend Cia, along with many others whose lives she touched. All who loved her will forever miss her vibrant smile and warm friendship.
Taryn will be remembered not only as a devoted mother, daughter, sister, cousin, and friend, but most importantly as a beloved servant of Jehovah. We look forward to the day we are reunited with her, embracing her radiant smile and warmth once again.
