Obituary

Tannon Boyd Martino, 20, son of Rick and Connie Martino, died Tuesday, July 18, 2006 in Idaho from a river accident. Tannon was born July 26, 1985 in Lewisville, Texas.

Full of spontaneity, Tannon enjoyed life to its fullest always surrounded by those he loved most and doing the things that he enjoyed. Among his favorite activities were basketball, serving others, basketball, friends, and more basketball.

He attended Ginnings Elementary, Selwyn School, Strickland Middle School, Westridge Academy, and graduated from Ryan High School in 2003. He was a sophomore in college at Brigham Young University-Idaho.

At age thirteen Tannon achieved his Eagle Scout award. Tannon was ordained an elder in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as executive secretary in his ward in Idaho. He had plans to serve a two year mission for his church starting in December.

Having completed his mortal mission here with us he has been called home to his Heavenly Parents to complete a greater work.

He is survived by siblings Samye, Nicole, Drew, and Alexandra, his parents Rick, and Connie, and his grandparents Frank and Betty Martino and Dawn and Merle Eggett; along with adopted grandparents Russell and Willie Jean Morgan.

A viewing will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Denton 1st Ward) at 3000 Old North Road on Friday, July 21, 2006 from 6:30p.m. to 8:30p.m. Services will be held at the church on Saturday at 10:00a.m. Interment will be at Roselawn in Denton following the service.

Pallbearers include brother-in-law Dustin Peterson, and cousins Blake Martino, Brandon Martino, Michael Martino, Joseph Martino, and Ben Martino.
