Stoney Mike Ward, Sr., of Denton went to be with our Lord on July 27, 2017 at the age of 59. He was born on June 23, 1958 to Leon B. Ward and Maybelle Turner Ward. He married Glynna Jo Cowgur on April 5, 1974. They were married for forty-three years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Maybelle Ward; father-in-law, Bill Cowgur and oldest brother, Kenneth Leon Ward; son-in-law, Daryl Marcantel.
He leaves behind his wife, Glynna Ward of Denton; son, Kenneth Ward and his girlfriend Bobbi Jo of Gainesville, TX; daughter, Davi Marcantel and her boyfriend Clint Creamer of Denton, daughter, Autumn Ward and her boyfriend Keith Prater of Denton; grandsons, George Shoop, III, Shayne Ward and Michael Marcantel and his girlfriend Bianca Bond of Denton; brothers, Billy Ray and Jeff Ward; sister, Martha Ward of Denton; mother-in-law, Melva Cowgur of Denton; all the extended family and friends.
We love you Dad and will miss you so very much. Until we meet again R.I.P.
A memorial service will be held on August 5, 2017 starting at 6:00 PM at his home, 2104 Lakeview Lane, Denton, TX. Please bring a covered dish.
