Steven Eugene Ormand

Steven Eugene Ormand, 62, of Texas, passed away on January 1, 2025. He was born on May 17, 1962, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Ruby June Bennett Powell and Raymond Ormand.

Steve was a man whose presence could light up a room. He had a deep love for fishing and cherished the companionship of his beloved dog, Charlie. Despite facing life's hardships with resilience, his battle with mental illness and trauma ultimately took him from us too soon.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruby June Bennet Powell and Raymond Ormand; his brothers, Adam and Joe Ormand; and his beloved daughter, Haley Ormand.

He is survived by his son, Reese Ormand, and his grandchildren, Henry, Aria, Andy, Mason, and Miles, who will carry forward his memory with love.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 15, 2025 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton, TX.
